Experience
In High School I mentored 3 students over the course of 3 years at a nearby Elementary School and this lead me to realize just how much I love aiding in the process of students' learning and development. In college I have already taken two education courses so far in which I was granted the opportunity to observe in classrooms and work with students for a total of 40 hours. I am also in the process of completing my second Fundamental Concepts class in which we learn to teach children mathematics. I received a total of 1260 on the Math and English sections of the SAT test.

Hobbies
I'm hoping to graduate from college in 2012 and pursue a teaching career at the Elementary level. I've always loved working with children which is why I used to babysit, I've volunteered as a mentor in elementary schools, and I've helped out at numerous beginner volleyball clinics throughout the past few years. I plan to work at a daycare this summer so I can have another chance to interact with kids in a fun environment. Outside of my interest in children and teaching, I've played soccer for nine years on club and school teams and volleyball for nine years on club and school teams including the Salisbury University Volleyball Team. I've been captain on several of these sports teams and take pride in my ability to lead a group and act as a role model to others. I enjoy music as well and I played piano for three years and trombone for eight years.
